Kamome Terrace In Ofunato City, Iwate Prefecture, where the park is located, the "cherry blossom specimen tree" designated by the city of Ofunato bloomed on April 2, 2024, and the mayor of Ofunato declared the cherry blossoms to be in bloom.

In Ofunato City, "Goishi Coast" or "The riverbank of Morikawa" These are famous cherry blossom viewing spots. (As of April 9th, the Morikawa riverbed is thought to be 70-80% in bloom.)
